What inspired you to start them?
For me, I have always had personal blogs. And I've always needed a portfolio website to show potential employers.
I make various websites of my own because I enjoy the idea of being able to communicate with the world.
I don't have my own forum at the moment, but I really like them. I like forums because of their slow pace. With chat, I feel under pressure to respond soon. I also like waking up the next day to see responses to what I've said!

I've had loads of different sites over the years. Graphics, fan sites, fan listings, etc. The only ones that have been constant has been this forum and my blog.
My forum I was inspired to start when I first started poking around on forums. Probably the same with my blog.

Yeah, that's fair. How old is this forum now?

Oh wow. I have changed websites/domains often over the years. Currently the oldest domain I have was registered in 2017.

Yeah I'm pretty sure those two were the first two domains I ever had. I've had a few over the years including a ferret related one. XD

I did briefly have a ferret blog. I intended to share ferret pics and other ferret things. It didn't last long though.

Right now I have a personal blog and what will eventually be a portfolio or something similar. When I was just out of high school (late 90s) my ex-boyfriend taught me html and eventually css and showed me how to create my own website. I was suffering bad from anxiety and depression at the time and wouldn't leave the house. So he thought it would be a good way for me to gain some confidence in myself. He was right. It helped.
